Later in my research I came across this book which had some really useful photographs. Amongst them was these series of pages showing a cross section of a rock pool. The bottom of mine was very flat and after seeing this one I really wished I had sculpted out the whole rock pool and in doing so been able to create a deeper, more organic shaped rock pool.
